Why did you ultimately decide to come to EC?
While on a tour, I went to chapel here. I was there for maybe two minutes, and I was like, this is it. I found it. It feels like home. I had spent days trying to figure it out, and I walked out of chapel and in that moment, I thought that’s the school.

The community was so welcoming. And the school was strong in its faith and I could tell that from when I walked in. And the fact that every class was taught from a biblical worldview just drew me in because I wanted to understand how that works. That’s what made me want to come here.

What do you most appreciate about EC?
I appreciate that everyone works well together and no one is left out in any situation. In those situations, it shows how they are strong in their faith, and they are strong in being loving toward one another and caring about each other.

I was put into classes that challenged me, which was good. Having so many clubs is nice as well. I also appreciate having so many opportunities to have honors classes, as I am in two this semester. It has been a great change in my life that has opened more doors of opportunity.

What would you say to students currently looking to join EC as a freshman?
The instant that you walk in, there is someone to greet you. And every time you walk in, there’s a new face and a welcoming face, and they want to get to know you. They want to welcome you in and they want to see someone come and join their community.

It’s been amazing. There are so many spirit-led staff members here. I really love everything about this school.

Why did you ultimately decide to come to EC?
We were touring the school and my parents and I just got this affirmation that this is where I was supposed to be. EC has a great curriculum and has a lot to offer. It’s a great school.

How has your experience at EC been so far?
It’s been amazing. There are so many spirit-led staff members here. I really love everything about this school. I also love the fact that there is a worship team; (in general opportunities for students to mature spiritually.). I like block scheduling too because it covers the curriculum more in depth.

What do you most appreciate about EC?
I appreciate the fact that it really does engage the mind, nurture the spirit and teach people to transform the world.

What would you say to students currently looking to join EC as a freshman?
Many people invest in this school and the school invests in their students. Each individual teacher cares about each individual student. It’s like a family here. I am just blown away by EC in general and I’m thriving here.

I feel like I’m cared for and it is just a fun atmosphere in general.

How has your experience at EC been so far?
It has been a good one. I have found a lot of friends. I feel like I’m cared for and it is just a fun atmosphere in general. I was formerly at a small, private school in New York. Coming here was just a big upgrade with more people and more of a social life. I love playing basketball and I am able to play for the school.

What do you most appreciate about EC?
The people and the Christian education.

What would you say to students currently looking to come to EC as a freshman?
You will find great friends that you can really rely on for your whole life.

I wanted a tight-knit community. I wanted to have a place where everyone had faith in common. I feel like Eastern Christian does a really good job of putting their faith into everything. Everywhere you look in this school, there is some aspect of faith and Christianity.

Why did you start looking at EC?
I wanted a tight-knit community. I wanted to have a place where everyone had faith in common. I feel like Eastern Christian does a really good job of putting their faith into everything. Everywhere you look in this school, there is some aspect of faith and Christianity.

Why did you ultimately decide to come to EC?
The more I looked into it, the more EC kept on proving itself. It aligned with everything I wanted. It felt like the perfect community; it just felt right. And even in the process of getting into the school, the staff proved how caring they were. They were attentive and they care about each student individually.

What do you most appreciate about EC?
Everybody gives everybody a chance. We all have faith in common. It’s like a big family. They don’t see students as numbers. They see them individually.

I also feel they have good opportunities for career development. This is the most ‘career and college-preparation school’ that I’ve seen. They are doing everything to prepare students for every possible career you can imagine. I like how everyone in this school is a future thinker, trying to prepare you. The WINGS program, that’s so good. I am so excited to get into that.

What would you say to students currently looking to join EC as a freshman?
If you are trying to find a school that will make you feel welcome, EC is the best place that you can find. Everyone has their place here. There are so many different SOARS and clubs here. Everyone has their niche.

EC has offered an atmosphere for our children to hear the messages of our home reinforced from other important adults in their lives-messages of faith and character.

How has Eastern Christian made a difference in the life of your child(ren)? What do you think would be different had they not come here?

EC has offered an atmosphere for our children to hear the messages of our home reinforced from other important adults in their lives-messages of faith and character.

How has the staff and/or administration partnered with you to nurture your child’s spirit and engage your child’s mind?

The teachers and staff at EC have spent quality time getting to know our children-both strengths and weaknesses. EC has offered special curriculum to allow their strengths to excel and spent extra time with us as parent to find effective ways of supporting the areas of development still to grow.

What is the most valuable part of the Eastern Christian experience to you?

For us, the dedication of staff to model the love of Christ to our children daily is the most valuable part of the education at EC.

Why are you thankful for Christian Education?

We are thankful for a place that speaks the truths of Scripture to our children.

What else would you like potential students and donors to know about Eastern Christian?

EC is a place that cares about the whole child-their heart, mind, and spirit.

Eastern Christian provided my daughter with a renewed enthusiasm for learning! After her public school experienced several years of turmoil, Eastern Christian Middle School was wonderful. The school and students embraced her and helped her grow in her faith. Her teachers have been truly wonderful, helping her improve her weaknesses and tap into her natural talents. We love that the Eastern Christian community is diverse, with students from most of the surrounding communities and even farther away.

How has Eastern Christian made a difference in the life of your child(ren)? What do you think would be different had they not come here?

Eastern Christian provided my daughter with a renewed enthusiasm for learning! After her public school experienced several years of turmoil, Eastern Christian Middle School was wonderful. The school and students embraced her and helped her grow in her faith. Her teachers have been truly wonderful, helping her improve her weaknesses and tap into her natural talents. We love that the Eastern Christian community is diverse, with students from most of the surrounding communities and even farther away. For example, the International Student Program exposes the students to other cultures, opening their eyes to their blessings at home and what the world has to offer them on other continents. We hope to host an international student in the future. My daughter’s experiences with the ECMS and ECHS athletics also have been great. The coaches have fostered camaraderie and discipline, and the players have demonstrated their competitive spirit, but also sportsmanship and a team mentality that seems to be passed down year to year. I’m sure my daughter and our family would have made the best of our school situation, but coming to EC has far exceeded our expectations and kicked off a school journey that I don’t think we could have found elsewhere. We are so thankful.

How has the staff and/or administration partnered with you to nurture your child’s spirit and engage your child’s mind?

The Eastern Christian Middle and High School administrators have been wonderful, especially as our daughter arrived in the middle of middle school! The ECMS Principal is an ebullient leader who makes that extra effort to ensure all students are thriving. He is extremely responsive when issues arise and is very efficient in resolving them. The ECHS Principal has established an environment of energy, enthusiasm, fun and structure. He regularly attends many of the extra-curricular events, cheering on athletes and getting to know their families. He greets every high school student every day at the front door with a hello and a smile. At both campuses, my daughter’s teachers have been stellar in nurturing both her mind and her spirit. Every day, she cannot stop talking about something, whether it be the speaker in chapel, what she learned in World Literature, where she wants to go on a mission trip, or what charity the students are supporting. She is excited to go to school every day!

What is the most valuable part of the Eastern Christian experience to you?

For us so far, the most valuable part of the Eastern Christian experience is its tremendous contribution in building our daughter’s confidence. The tenor of the school is warm and welcoming, the teachers are positive and encouraging and are never too busy to help outside of class, the students share a spiritual compass in an environment filled with collaboration and fellowship, the SOAR and after-school activities are providing her exposure to valuable new experiences, and the sports are competitive but cooperative, with players of all ages interacting with each other inside and outside of school. We feel so blessed with the person that our daughter is and who she is becoming at EC.

Why are you thankful for Christian Education?

The Eastern Christian school experience has well exceeded our expectations. We had heard from others whose children attended the school that it provided a great environment for their children, but we had not envisioned quite the extent to which we would be impacted. Our daughter is making new friends from diverse backgrounds and various local communities. Her teachers are inspiring her so that she wants to learn, grow, excel, and succeed. Her spiritual foundation is expanding, and she loved chapel in the middle school and now devotions in the high school; some of the sermons she regularly references. We are meeting many new parents and getting to know their families. We trust the school and its administrators and staff as they mentor her, encourage her, help her strive for excellence, and expand her perspective on the world and her spirituality. Eastern Christian was one of the best decisions we have made for our daughter.

What else would you like others to know about Eastern Christian School?

Eastern Christian is a very special place, which is why so many families send their children there, and those children become adults who send their children to the school there, and on and on. The school community is friendly and welcoming. There are many opportunities for parents to get involved helping in the schools and outside with community service and fundraisers. The school facilities are wonderful, but the leadership always seems to be improving them. For example, at ECMS the construction of an outdoor classroom was underway, and at ECHS a turf athletic field is in progress and will be an invaluable asset to all the Eastern Christian students and sports teams. We are so grateful for the opportunity to send our daughter to EC as we watch her thrive.

We feel so blessed to be part of a Christ-centered learning community. We can’t count the number of times we reflect on how EC reinforces positive values for our daughter... At EC we feel confident leaving our most precious gifts with teachers, staff, and volunteers who care about all aspects of their development.

We feel so blessed to be part of a Christ-centered learning community. We can’t count the number of times we reflect on how EC reinforces positive values for our daughter. (We truly feel the home, church and school are connected.) She comes home each day and shares her “EC adventures” with us and her little brother. He’s so excited to start this year. At EC we feel confident leaving our most precious gifts with teachers, staff, and volunteers who care about all aspects of their development. We also really appreciate the PTO and striving to foster community amongst the parents.

Our daughter started PK4 this school year, and our experience has been nothing short of amazing! From academics to nurturing her spiritual growth, we could not be happier to see our child loving each day in PK. She has learned so much, made new friends, and loves each of her teachers. It's a true testament of how a school should come alongside a child and nurture so many aspects that make up their whole person. We LOVE EC!

I am so blessed to have the opportunity to return to EC and share my three loves -- love of God, love of teaching and love of children. What an incredible opportunity to be part of a school that holds both academic excellence and biblical truth in such high regard.

Having been a student at Eastern Christian, I know first hand the impact that a Christian school teacher can have on a student’s life. I will forever be grateful to my middle school science teacher. Although I may not remember any of her lessons, I clearly remember the impact she had on my life. I am so blessed to have the opportunity to return to EC and share my three loves — love of God, love of teaching and love of children. What an incredible opportunity to be part of a school that holds both academic excellence and biblical truth in such high regard.

See what a Christ-centered education looks like for your child.
